1.갈등찾기/ ( 조건부 ) 인생을 살지 맙시다!
1)솔로몬의 조건부 제안
(왕상 8:40) 그리하시면 그들이 주께서 우리 조상들에게 주신 땅에서 사는 동안에 항상 주를 경외하리이다
2)하나님의 조건부 수용
가)( 말씀 )을 지키면 솔로몬의 왕위를 견고하게 하겠다.
(왕상 9:4-5) 네가 만일 네 아버지 다윗이 행함 같이 마음을 온전히 하고 바르게 하여 내 앞에서 행하며 내가 네게 명령한 대로 온갖 일에 순종하여 내 법도와 율례를 지키면 내가 네 아버지 다윗에게 말하기를 이스라엘의 왕위에 오를 사람이 네게서 끊어지지 아니하리라 한 대로 네 이스라엘의 왕위를 영원히 견고하게 하려니와
나)말씀을 안지키면 구별한 성전이라도 ( 내던지겠다 ).
(왕상 9:6-7) 만일 너희나 너희의 자손이 아주 돌아서서 나를 따르지 아니하며 내가 너희 앞에 둔 나의 계명과 법도를 지키지 아니하고 가서 다른 신을 섬겨 그것을 경배하면 내가 이스라엘을 내가 그들에게 준 땅에서 끊어 버릴 것이요 내 이름을 위하여 내가 거룩하게 구별한 이 성전이라도 내 앞에서 던져버리리니 이스라엘은 모든 민족 가운데에서 속담거리와 이야기거리가 될 것이며
다)말씀을 안지키면 높은 성전이라도 ( 비웃음 )이 되리라.
(왕상 9:8-9) 이 성전이 높을지라도 지나가는 자마다 놀라며 비웃어 이르되 여호와께서 무슨 까닭으로 이 땅과 이 성전에 이같이 행하셨는고 하면 대답하기를 그들이 그들의 조상들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내신 그들의 하나님 여호와를 버리고 다른 신을 따라가서 그를 경배하여 섬기므로 여호와께서 이 모든 재앙을 그들에게 내리심이라 하리라 하셨더라
2.갈등분석/ 예수님은 ( 조건 )을 다시는 분이 아니십니다!
1)칼빈의 5대 강령 TURIP의 두 번째 강령이 ( 무조건적 ) 선택’입니다.
Total Deprevity(전적타락), Unconditional Election(무조건적 선택), Limited atonement(제한적 구속), Irresistible grace(불가항력적 은혜), Perseverance of the saints(성도의 견인)
2)예수님은 ( 누구든지 ) 조건없이 은혜를 베푸셨습니다.
(요 7:37) 명절 끝날 곧 큰 날에 예수께서 서서 외쳐 이르시되 누구든지 목마르거든 내게로 와서 마시라
(롬 10:13) 누구든지 주의 이름을 부르는 자는 구원을 받으리라
3.실마리/ 성전이 아닌 ( 예수 )로 인생을 살아야 합니다.
1)건축은 ( 사랑 )입니다. (by Jean Nouvel)
가)성전은 하나님이 자기가 ( 사랑 ) 하는 사람들을 만나주시던 장소였습니다.
나)성전을 건축한 장소는 아브라함이 ( 사랑 ) 하는 하나님께 이삭을 바친 곳이었습니다.
2)건축의 3요소는 Function(기능), Structure(구조), Form(모형)입니다.
가)Function(기능) – 하나님은 ( 자신 )을 위하여 성전을 지으라고 하셨습니다.
(왕상 5:5) 여호와께서 내 아버지 다윗에게 하신 말씀에 내가 너를 이어 네 자리에 오르게 할 네 아들 그가 내 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축하리라 하신 대로 내가 내 하나님 여호와의 이름을 위하여 성전을 건축하려 하오니
나)Structure(구조) – 하나님은 ( 설계도 )를 솔로몬에게 주셨습니다.
(대상 28:11-19) 다윗이 성전의 복도와 그 집들과 그 곳간과 다락과 골방과 속죄소의 설계도를 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 주고 또 그가 영감으로 받은 모든 것… 설계도를 주고 … 설계도대로 만들 금의 무게를 정해 주니 이 그룹들은 날개를 펴서 여호와의 언약궤를 덮는 것이더라. 다윗이 이르되 여호와의 손이 내게 임하여 이 모든 일의 설계를 그려 나에게 알려 주셨느니라.
다)Form(모형) - 하나님은 ( 사람 )과의 관계를 중요시 여겼습니다.
(왕상 6:7) 이 성전은 건축할 때에 돌을 그 뜨는 곳에서 다듬고 가져다가 건축하였으므로 건축하는 동안에 성전 속에서는 방망이나 도끼나 모든 철 연장 소리가 들리지 아니하였으며
(고전 3:16-17) 너희가 하나님의 성전인 것과 하나님의 성령이 너희 안에 거하시는 것을 알지 못하느뇨 누구든지 하나님의 성전을 더럽히면 하나님이 그 사람을 멸하시리라. 하나님의 성전은 거룩하니 너희도 그러하니라
2)우리는 모두 ( 예수 )로 사는 인생입니다. (Living In Jesus)
내 이름 불러주시고 내 삶의 주인 되시는 내 맘의 노래되시는 그는 크신 나의 예수님… 주님 시선을 거두지 않으사 주의 은혜로 감당케 하시네 예수로 사는 인생 책임져 주시니 주께 맡기네
4.복음제시/ 예수는 어떤 분이십니까?
1)예수는 ( 머릿돌 )이십니다.
(행 4:11) 이 예수는 너희 건축자들의 버린 돌로서 집 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되었느니라
2)예수는 ( 교회 )입니다.
(요 2:19) 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 너희가 이 성전을 헐라 내가 사흘 동안에 일으키리라
3)예수는 우리가 ( 교회 ) 되게 하셨습니다.
(엡 2:20-22) 너희는 사도들과 선지자들의 터 위에 세우심을 입은 자라 그리스도 예수께서 친히 모퉁잇돌이 되셨느니라 그의 안에서 건물마다 서로 연결하여 주 안에서 성전이 되어 가고 너희도 성령 안에서 하나님이 거하실 처소가 되기 위하여 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 지어져 가느니라
5.결론/ 그리스도인은 에수로 사는 인생입니다.
1)예수 ( 안 )에 살아야 합니다.
(골 2:6-7) 그러므로 너희가 그리스도 예수를 주로 받았으니 그 안에서 행하되 그 안에 뿌리를 박으며 세움을 받아 교훈을 받은 대로 믿음에 굳게 서서 감사함을 넘치게 하라
2)예수의 ( 말씀 )에 잘 순종해야 합니다.
(벧전 2:6-7) 성경에 기록되었으되 보라 내가 택한 보배로운 모퉁잇돌을 시온에 두노니 그를 믿는 자는 부끄러움을 당하지 아니하리라 하였으니 그러므로 믿는 너희에게는 보배이나 믿지 아니하는 자에게는 건축자들이 버린 그 돌이 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되고시
(벧전 2:8) 또한 부딪치는 돌과 걸려 넘어지게 하는 바위가 되었다 하였느니라 그들이 말씀을 순종하지 아니하므로 넘어지나니 이는 그들을 이렇게 정하신 것이라

‘A life lived through the temple, a life lived through Jesus’

1.Finding conflict/
“조건부 인생을 살지 맙시다!”
“Let’s not live a conditional life!”
1)솔로몬의 조건부 제안
Solomon's conditional offer
솔로몬은 성전을 완공한 후에 하나님께 기도를 드립니다. 그런데 그 기도내용이 ‘조건부 제안’처럼 느껴집니다. ‘그리하시면’ 항상 주를 경외하리이다!
(왕상 8:40) 그리하시면 그들이 주께서 우리 조상들에게 주신 땅에서 사는 동안에 항상 주를 경외하리이다
so that they will fear you all the time they live in the land you gave our fathers.
열왕기상 8:30-38절까지의 내용을 살펴보면, “죄를 ‘성전에서’ 주께 회개하면 용서해 주십시오. 돌아오게 해 주십시오.”라고 조건부로 기도하고 있습니다.
(왕상 8:33) 만일 주의 백성 이스라엘이 주께 범죄하여 적국 앞에 패하게 되므로 주께로 돌아와서 주의 이름을 인정하고 이 성전에서 주께 기도하며 간구하거든
… praying and making supplication to you in this temple,
(왕상 8:34) 주는 하늘에서 들으시고 주의 백성 이스라엘의 죄를 사하시고 그들의 조상들에게 주신 땅으로 돌아오게 하옵소서
then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to their fathers.
2)하나님의 조건부 수용
God's conditional acceptance
하나님께서 솔로몬의 조건부 기도를 들으시고 나타나셔서 응답하시는데, 일천번제를 드린 솔로몬에 나타난 후 두 번째 현현입니다.
하나님께서는 성전을 완공한 후, 성전을 두고 기도하는 솔로몬에게 명쾌한 대답을 하지 않으십니다. 도리어 성전완공은 성전완공이고, 다윗처럼 행동해야지만 이스라엘의 왕위가 견고해짐을 말합니다.
(왕상 9:4-5) 네가 만일 네 아버지 다윗이 행함 같이 마음을 온전히 하고 바르게 하여 내 앞에서 행하며 내가 네게 명령한 대로 온갖 일에 순종하여 내 법도와 율례를 지키면 내가 네 아버지 다윗에게 말하기를 이스라엘의 왕위에 오를 사람이 네게서 끊어지지 아니하리라 한 대로 네 이스라엘의 왕위를 영원히 견고하게 하려니와
"As for you, if you walk before me in integrity of heart and uprightness, as David your father did, and do all I command and observe my decrees and laws, I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father when I said, 'You shall never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.'
그런데 만약에 하나님을 따르지 아니하고, 말씀을 지키지 아니하고, 다른 신을 섬겨 그것을 경배하면, 땅에서 끊어버리고, 거룩한 성전이라도 내던지시고, 이스라엘 민족이 속담거리가 될 것이라고 겁박(?) 하십니다.
(왕상 9:6-7) 만일 너희나 너희의 자손이 아주 돌아서서 나를 따르지 아니하며 내가 너희 앞에 둔 나의 계명과 법도를 지키지 아니하고 가서 다른 신을 섬겨 그것을 경배하면 내가 이스라엘을 내가 그들에게 준 땅에서 끊어 버릴 것이요 내 이름을 위하여 내가 거룩하게 구별한 이 성전이라도 내 앞에서 던져버리리니 이스라엘은 모든 민족 가운데에서 속담거리와 이야기거리가 될 것이며
"But if you or your sons turn away from me and do not observe the commands and decrees I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, then I will cut off Israel from the land I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. Israel will then become a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples.
특별히 성전을 높이 건축할지라도 내던져짐을 두고 지나가는 자들이 비웃을 때, 그 원인으로 하나님을 버리고, 다른 신을 따라가서 경배하며 섬기고, 그래서 하나님께서 이 모든 재앙을 내리셨음이라고 말하겠다고 하십니다.

And though this temple is now imposing, all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff and say, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?’ People will answer, 'Because they have forsaken the LORD their God, who brought their fathers out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them--that is why the LORD brought all this disaster on them.' "
(예) 정안젤간사님의 말씀묵상이 감동적입니다.
“하나님 아버지, 성전을 아름답게 건축한 솔로몬이 했던 ‘그리하시면 주를 경외하리이다’의 기도가 아닌, ‘그리하실지라도 주를 경외하리이다’의 기도를 하기를 원합니다. 조건부로 하나님과 딜하려하는 자세가 있었다면 용서해주옵소서.”
2.Conflict Analysis/
“예수님에게는 조건부가 없습니다!”
“There are no conditions with Jesus!”
사실 하나님은 조건부 수용을 말하실 분이 아니십니다. 이렇게 조건부로 응답하실 때에는 다 이유가 있기 때문입니다. 성전을 완공하고 자만하며 자기과시적인 솔로몬의 모습을 보니, 왕위에 올랐던 다윗이 예루살렘에서 평탄해지자 밧세바 간음죄를 저지른 것을 기억하고 계신 것입니다.
오해하지 마십시오. 하나님이 평상시에 이렇게 인간에게 조건부로 말씀하시지 않습니다.

“성전이 아닌 예수로 인생을 살아야 합니다!”
We must live our lives with Jesus, not with the temple.
1)건축이란 무엇일까요? 건축의 정의가 무엇입니까?
건축가 JEAN NOUVEL에 따르면, “건축은 사랑이다”라고 말합니다.
성전건축도 마찬가지입니다. ‘성전건축은 사랑입니다!’
“성전은 하나님이 자기가 ( 사랑 ) 하는 사람들을 만나 주시던 장소입니다.”
“The temple is a place where God meets those he loves.”
“성전을 건축한 장소는 아브라함이 자기가 ( 사랑 ) 하는 하나님께 이삭을 받친 장소였습니다”
The place where the temple was built was the place where Abraham supported Isaac before the God he loved.
2)건축의 3요소가 무엇입니까?

하나님은 ( 자신 )을 위하여 성전을 지으라고 하셨습니다.
God told us to build a temple for him.

->하나님은 ( 설계도 )를 솔로몬에게 주셨습니다.
God gave the blueprint to Solomon.

David gave his son Solomon the plans for the hallway of the temple, its houses, its storehouse, its upper chamber, its inner room, and its mercy seat... David said, “The hand of the LORD is upon me, and he has drawn the plan for all these things and made it known to me.”

God placed great importance on relationships with people.
하나님은 성전건축 할 때 성전안에서 소리가 들리지 못하도록 조치를 취하였습니다.
(왕상 6:7) 이 성전은 건축할 때에 돌을 그 뜨는 곳에서 다듬고 가져다가 건축하였으므로 건축하는 동안에 성전 속에서는 방망이나 도끼나 모든 철 연장 소리가 들리지 아니하였으며
In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.
예수께서 세운 교회는 철저하게 ‘사람이 성전이다’를 설명하고 있습니다.

(왕상 6:11-13) 여호와의 말씀이 솔로몬에게 임하여 이르시되 네가 지금 이 성전을 건축하니 네가 만일 내 법도를 따르며 내 율례를 행하며 내 모든 계명을 지켜 그대로 행하면 내가 네 아버지 다윗에게 한 말을 네게 확실히 이룰 것이요 내가 또한 이스라엘 자손 가운데에 거하며 내 백성 이스라엘을 버리지 아니하리라 하셨더라.
The word of the LORD came to Solomon: "As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father. And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel."

Who is Jesus?
1)예수는 ( 교회 )이십니다.
Jesus is the church.
(엡 1:22-23) 그를 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨느니라 교회는 그의 몸이니 만물 안에서 만물을 충만하게 하시는 이의 충만함이니라.
And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
2)예수는 우리를 ( 교회 )가 되게 하셨습니다.
Jesus made us the church.

built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.

1)Solomon's conditional offer
Solomon prays to God after completing the temple. However, the content of the prayer feels like a ‘conditional offer.’ ‘Then’ I will always fear you!
(1 Kings 8:40) So that they will fear you all the time they live in the land you gave our fathers.
If we look at 1 Kings 8:30-38, “If we repent of our sins to the Lord in the temple, please forgive us. I am praying conditionally, “Please bring me back.”
(1 Kings 8:33) … praying and making application to you in this temple,
(1 Kings 8:34) Then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of your people Israel and bring them back to the land you gave to their fathers.
2)God's conditional acceptance
God hears Solomon's conditional prayer and appears and answers. This is the second appearance after appearing to Solomon after he offered a thousand burnt offerings.
After completing the temple, God does not give a clear answer to Solomon who prays over the temple. Rather, the completion of the temple is the completion of the temple, and only by acting like David can the throne of Israel be strengthened.
(1 Kings 9:4-5) “As for you, if you walk before me in integrity of heart and uprightness, as David your father did, and do all I command and observe my decrees and laws, I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father when I said, 'You shall never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.'
However, if you do not follow God, do not keep His words, and serve other gods and worship them, He will cut you off from the land, throw away the holy temple, and threaten(?) that the Israelites will become a proverb.
(1 Kings 9:6-7) “But if you or your sons turn away from me and do not observe the commands and decrees, I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, then I will cut off Israel from the land I have given them and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. Israel will then become a word and an object of ridicule among all peoples.
In particular, when passers-by laugh at the fact that even though the temple is built high, it is thrown down, they will say that the reason is because they abandoned God and followed other gods, worshiping and serving them, and that is why God brought all these disasters.
(1 Kings 9:8-9) And though this temple is now imposing, all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff and say, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?' , 'Because they have forsaken the LORD their God, who brought their fathers out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them--that is why the LORD brought all this disaster on them.' "

“Heavenly Father, I want to pray, not the prayer of ‘If you do so and I will fear you’, like Solomon, who built the beautiful temple, but as ‘If you do so, I will fear you’. “Please forgive me if I had an attitude of trying to deal with God conditionally.”
2.Conflict Analysis/
“There are no conditions with Jesus!”
In fact, God is not one to speak of conditional acceptance. This is because there is a reason why He responds conditionally. After completing the temple and seeing Solomon's pride and self-display, he remembers that David, who ascended to the throne, committed adultery with Bathsheba when Jerusalem was settled.
Don't misunderstand. God does not normally speak conditionally to humans like this.

If you look at Calvin's five major doctrines, the second doctrine is like this. ‘Unconditional choice’!
Total Depravity,
Unconditional Election,
Limited atonement;
Irresistible grace,
Perseverance of the saints
Jesus gave grace unconditionally to ‘anyone.’
Jesus extended grace unconditionally to ‘anyone.’
(John 7:37) On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.”
(Romans 10:13) “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

We must live our lives with Jesus, not with the temple.

The same goes for temple construction. ‘Temple building is love!’
“The temple is a place where God meets those he loves.”
“The place where the temple was built was the place where Abraham supported Isaac before the God he loved.”

FUNCTION function, STRUCTURE structure, and FORM model.
A) FUNCTION function
God told us to build a temple for him.
(1 Kings 5:5) I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God, as the LORD told my father David, when he said, 'Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will 'build the temple for my Name.'
(Book) The book ‘Church Architecture’ written by Professor James White of DREW University explains the definition of the function of a church building.
“Church buildings reflect what the church members did and believed at the time they were built.” (p.17)

B) Structure
->God gave the blueprint to Solomon.
(1 Chronicles 28:11-19) David gave his son Solomon the plans for the hallway of the temple, its houses, its storehouse, its upper chamber, its inner room, and its mercy seat... David said, “The hand of the LORD is upon me, and he has drawn the plan for all these things and made it known to me.”

c)Form (model)
->God placed great importance on relationships with people.
When God was building the temple, he took steps to prevent sounds from being heard within the temple.
(1 Kings 6:7) In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.
The church established by Jesus thoroughly explains that ‘people are the temple.’
(1 Corinthians 3:16-17) Don't you know that yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.
When I watch the (movie) Introduction to Architecture, what comes to mind is what the two main characters said as they walked around the neighborhood.
“You can only build a good building if you understand the neighborhood you live in in detail.”
(Quote) According to JEAN NOUVEL, “The ultimate beauty that a building can have is its disappearance.”
(1 Kings 6:11-13) The word of the LORD came to Solomon: “As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father, and I will live among the Israelites and not abandon my people Israel.”

Church buildings, or temples, in England are rapidly being transformed into circus performance halls, McDonald's, bars, and mosques. And eventually, the Jerusalem Temple was transformed into what is now an Islamic mosque.
Why did 400 British churches sell their church buildings to Islam?
‘Because you do not love God!’
We must build church buildings that cannot be sold!

4.Presentation of the Gospel/
Who is Jesus?
1) Jesus is (church).
(Ephesians 1:22-23) And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
(1 Corinthians 12:27) Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
2) Jesus made us (church).
(Ephesians 2:20-22) built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
5.Conclusion/
“We live a life with Jesus!”
(Colossians 2:6-7) So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude.
< 말씀묵상 >
'솔로몬의 조건부 제안, 하나님의 조건부 수용'
(열왕기상 8:30-41)
열왕기상상 8:31-30 솔로몬이 성전을 봉헌 한 후에 하나님께 기도하는 내용입니다.
악한자와 의로운 자의 심판(31-32), 회개와 용서(33-36), 기근과 전염병(37-38), 인간의 마음을 홀로 아시는 하나님(39-40)
그리고 이 기도문은 IF 만일이라는 말로 시작을 하는데, 마치 자신이 하나님의 성전을 지었으니, 이제 하나님께서도 자신에게 뭔가 근사한 일을 하셔야 하지 않겠습니까라는 하나님을 향한 ‘조건부 제안’처럼 느껴졌습니다.
솔로몬은 만일 IF 라는 단어를 4번 사용하는데 내용을 간략하게 축약하면, 만일 죄를 지어도 성전을 향해 기도하면 용서해 주십시오!라는 것입니다.
이 말씀을 묵상하다가 하나님의 반응이 너무 궁금해졌습니다. 그래서 성경을 읽다가 열왕기상 9장 1-9절에서 하나님께서 솔로몬의 ‘조건부 제안’에 대한 ‘조건부 수용’의 내용을 발견하면서 참 많은 생각을 하게 되었습니다.
“내가 네 기도를 들었다”(3절)
“네 기도처럼 이 성전에 내 이름을 두고, 내 눈길과 마음을 항상 두겠다” (3절)
그런데 여기서 멈추지 않으시고 하나님께서도 IF 만일이라는 단어를 통해 크게 두 가지를 ‘조건부 수용’으로 받아들이십니다.
1)만일 IF 네가 다윗처럼 마음을 온전히 하고, 바르게 행하고, 말씀을 지키면 네 왕위를 견거하게 해 주겠다. (4-5절)
2)만일 IF 나를 따르지 아니하며, 말씀을 지키지 아니하고, 다른신을 섬겨 경배하면 다음과 같이 하겠다. (6절)
가)이 땅에서 끊어버리고(6절)
나)거룩한 성전이라도 던져버리고(7절)
다)높은 성전이라도 비웃음을 당하고(8절)
라)모든 재앙을 내리겠다(9절)
말씀을 묵상하다가 사도행전 3장의 말씀이 떠 올랐습니다.
성전미문 앞 앉은뱅이 거지에게는 ‘금과 은’이 필요했지만, 베드로와 요한은 ‘예수의 이름’을 그에게 주었습니다. 잠시 사용할 그의 요구가 아니라, 하나님께서 꼭 행하셔야 할 필요를 패워주셨습니다.
솔로몬은 마치 성전미문 앞 앉은뱅이 거지처럼 느껴졌습니다. ‘성전’을 건축하는 것이 하나님을 근본적으로 기쁘게 하는 것으로 착각하고 있었습니다.
하나님은 성전건축이 아니라 ‘하나님의 말씀을 온전히 따르는 사람’ ‘다른신을 섬겨 경배하지 않는 사람’ ‘다윗처럼 하나님의 마음에 합한 사람’을 사랑하시고 축복하시는 것을 솔로몬은 몰랐습니다.
저를 돌아봅니다.
저도 무진장 하나님께 IF 만일이라는 단어로 ‘조건부 제안’을 하며 목회를 해 오고 있었음을 발견하고 참 부끄러웠습니다.
그럴 때마다 하나님께서는 나의 수준에 맞추시어 ‘조건부 수용’을 해 오시면서, 불안불안한 저의 인생과 목회를 두고 참 많은 고민을 해 오셨을 것이라 생각되었습니다.
오늘 하루 ‘무조건 말씀순종’의 목사로 살아가면서 ‘조건없는 하나님의 사랑’을 충분히 누리고 사귀는 목회가 되기를 소망합니다.
“하나님 잘못했습니다. 조건부 제안, 조건부 믿음, 조건부 충성, 조건부 기도의 죄를 용서해 주시고, 무조건적으로 주신 하나님의 사랑, 예수 그리스도의 몸 안에서 하나님의 소원을 이루어가는 목사가 되게 해 주십시오.”
